What the format is
One deck, one location, one liar. Every player is told the same place except the spy, who is told only that they are the spy. Everyone takes turns asking each other questions about where they are. Answer too vaguely and you look like the spy; answer too precisely and you have just told the spy where they are.
The round ends when the group votes someone out, or when the spy decides they have worked it out and names the location. Both are risky. Voting out an innocent hands the round straight to the spies.

What Spysus does differently
It is a website, not a deck of cards
Dealing is instant and private. Nobody has to look away, nobody accidentally sees a card, and the app tracks whose turn it is and who has been voted out.
It works with people who are not in the room
The invite link is the whole setup. Put a video call on and play with people in another country exactly as you would round a table. If you are all in one room and only have a single phone between you, Pass & Play deals every card on one device and you hand it around.
Illustrated location cards
Each location is a drawn card rather than a word on a list, which makes the reveal at the end of a round land better. You can see every location before you play.
Multiple spies in bigger groups
Above five players a second spy appears, and above eight a third. They are not told who the other spies are, which produces the best moments in the game: two spies loudly accusing each other, both bluffing, neither certain.
Scores across rounds
Rounds are worth different amounts depending on how they ended — guessing the location correctly is worth more than surviving a bad vote — and the totals carry through the game, so there is a winner at the end rather than just a series of unrelated rounds.
